This video will show you how to fix the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter error. I was trying to connect my laptop to my TV with an HDMI cord and for some reason it wouldn’t work. I did some digging and realized that within my device manager, I had an error. The Display Adapter in my laptop did not have the correct driver installed for my graphics card. After locating the correct driver for my video card on the nVidia website, I was able to install the driver and use my TV as my computer monitor with no issues.
